Program Description
The MHS TBS Program is an in-home, community based, voluntary, short-term intensive service. The length of a TBS case is determined by the client's progress on those behaviors that are putting the client's placement at risk. The TBS program serves at-risk youth up to 21 years of age and their families by providing intensive case management and behavioral coaching. Referrals to the TBS program are received from the County TBS program. The TBS program serves clients throughout the entire County of San Diego. The goal of the program is to help maintain the placement of children with moderate to severe behavioral problems and prevent them from moving to a higher level of placement or to assist them in the successful transition to a lower level of care. The services are time-limited and take place at any time of the day, depending on the needs of the client and when the target behaviors are occurring.
