Fresno FIRST is a six to fifteen month residential substance abuse, gender responsive, trauma informed residential therapeutic community. It is a part of Female Offenders Treatment and Employment Program (FOTEP). The program provides Services to female pregnant women and their children while on parole.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITLITIES:
Responsible for curriculum development and implementation. Quarterly student assessment, staff supervision, works closely with volunteers and directs the activities. Develops curriculum along with staff, plans indoor and outdoor activities. Maintains a record of each student’s progress using quarterly evaluation instruments and attends weekly staff meetings. Submits monthly material/supply lists to accommodate curriculum needs. Maintains a daily record of relevant events and closely monitors teacher-child ratio and notifies Program Manager when capacity is exceeded. Maintains currency regarding curriculum models via college courses, personal research and professional workshops and seminars. Displays regular and reliable attendance, reports to and departs from work on time, as scheduled, and accurately reflects all time on time card. Successfully functions as a team member.
EDUCATION and WORK EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science plus 12 units Early Childhood Education
Two years working with preschool age children
