Staff Nurse - Part-time

The Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Program provides intensive and all-inclusive services that include: case management; medication management and monitoring; outpatient psychiatric and dual disordered rehabilitation services; vocational rehabilitation; and supported housing. Services are provided to persons age 25-59 who are severely and persistently mentally ill and who have had recent criminal justice involvement. ACT services are provided in the community.

The Staff Nurse: works as a member of a multidisciplinary team to meet the needs of our clients; provides medication management with medical staff for 100 severely mentally ill clients; administers medications (oral and injectable); gathers medical histories, takes vital, processes medication orders; assist psychiatrist with running of the medication clinic; maintains PAPs for indigent clients; completed annual mental health assessment, semi-annual client plan updates, and quarterly status updates on a small caseload of clients; coordinates care for clients and assists them in accessing services and resources that will help maintain them in the community in the least restrictive environment; has extensive knowledge of community resources and support that will assist clients and provides rotating 24-hour on-call coverage.

Education & Experience Required: must have a current RN license; 2 years previous experience working with mentally ill adults; bilingual applicants (Spanish) preferred. Must have a clean driving record.
